i have a severe sciatica pain and i am unable to stand and sit for even 5 mnutes. Doctor suggested me a surgery and i am not ready for surgery. my age is 36.
….as long as you have explored all avenues of non-invasive treatment (physio/chiro), had a good rehab program for at least 6 weeks and then if no better had an epidural and still then no better…..then it looks as if surgery is the right way forward. don’t be pushed into it, get a few opinions, but back surgery does work. especially for failed conservative treatment. i’ve looked after loads of people your age and they all get back to their old lifestyle. if you leave it too long, then it may start to become detrimental to your future health…..

I had sex on May 11 and again on the 23. I took a pregnancy test two weeks after May 11 and it came back negative. I missed my period and Ive been spotting (like two times) But my period has only been consistant for about 18 months. And I was just curious if lower back pain is an early sign of being pregnant?
Yes lower back pain is an early symptom of pregnancy.
How long after thoracic disc surgery(t8-9)and 18 month+ pinched nerve damage can you return to work?
Jan 18
going on 18 months with 2 herniated discs and 2 pinched nerves in the thoracic area causing severe nausious and groin and leg pain off work since dec.7 /o8 found injury in march 2008 and kept working until dec. before dr. put me off for good due to sickness. any info will be appreciated.
If you are undergoing a thoracic discectomy and fusion, you could return to light duties (sitting at a desk) in four weeks. You could return to full duties in three months, but the surgeon might want a scan beforehand to be sure the spine is fusing well.
Good luck!
