When I get my period, I get lower back pain when the flow is heavy. You may get the pain with a lighter flow. Is this bleeding in some way different than your normal period? Drinking plenty of water will help for the pain. They are really pain-full, I had one a couple of months ago. It started with frequent trips to the bathroom. I felt like I had to pee constantly. Then I had really bad pain in my abdomen. I went straight to the doctor. She said that it was a bladder infection and I had blood in my urine. I couldn't see it yet but she apparently could. You should see a doctor as soon as possible. The only way to treat an infection is with antibiotics and they can also give you something to help with the pain. Good Luck. It could be a bladder infection.
