I have been recently diagnosed with Sciatica. I have also had around 6 reccuring Urinary Tract Infections over the past few months. Both of these problems started at around the same time, and I’m wondering if there is any link between the two, as I have found nothing in my research.
Thanks in advance.
I have had sciatica for years, ever since I broke my tailbone. In all those years, I have had a UTI twice. The two are unrelated. One is a nerve that gets pinched, the other is from a bacteria. However, sex can irritate sciatica and cause UTIs, so if there was a connection, that could be it. Otherwise, it is really just a painful coincidence.

The answer is "No" because they are two different systems. The sciatica is the nerve that comes out of the lower spine and goes around your butt and down your leg. UTI is an infection of the urethra and the bladder, sometimes the kidneys and liver.
