Two days ago I randomly felt a shooting pain the went from my neck to my forehead whenever I turned my head. To stop the stiffness I put some ice on it, and it made it easier for me to move. Then I started getting painful headaches it the same part of my head. Now I’m realizing that I have a small bump on the side of my neck that I think could be a cause of it all. Does anyone know what this is and how I can treat it? Anything would be great!
Try to massage at the back of your neck,up and downwards.

For several weeks now I’ve been having off and on symptoms like pressure inside my head, neck pain*, dizziness, suddenly waking up feeling like I was falling really fast, mild headaches, difficulty thinking. (*Someone cracked my neck last week and since then I feel like there’s been pressure building and releasing inside my neck-at the base of my skull.) Could it be a sign of something serious?

The use of computers in colleges and offices has increased substantially over the past few years. This has resulted in an increase in computer repetitive stress injuries (CRSI) that include shoulder pain, neck pain, headache, backache, wrist pain, eye discomfort, and carpal tunnel syndrome.1
Today, nearly 200,000 Americans suffer from work related musculoskeletal injuries due to poor design of work place2. Over one half of these injuries are due to use of computers.2 In the year 1994, 7897 cases of carpel tunnel syndrome was reported due to repetitive typing.2 More specifically, at an engineering firm, 46% of the employees suffered from neck pain, 38.5% had headaches, 30.8% had shoulder pain, and 30.8% had back pain due to computer use.2
There is a huge imbalance in health care allocation in the United States with 95% of the investments being used to treat diseases, and only 5% being used for prevention3. Taking this into consideration, this video intends to increase public awareness and talks about the various ergonomic techniques that can be used to prevent CRSI.
Target audience: Professionals and students who regularly use computers at work places and homes.
Main message: Use easy ergonomic techniques to prevent computer related stress injuries.

Also I am scheduled for therapy and pain management. This pain causes great anxiety. Does anyone have any experience with Cymbalta?
I’ve been on the Cymbalta for quite awhile. (Maybe 2 years) because it helps the nerve pain, especially in my feet. They switched me from Paxil, and now I don’t know what I’d do without it. The pain management doctor was the one that made the switch.
I have been in a Pain Management program since mid 2002 and it helps to have the whole team approach to helping you remain as active as possible.
Good Luck and God Bless

i have a 16 month old daughter who is in the 99% for her weight and 95% for her height, she is a big girl, but she is still a baby, so i still need to carry her at times, and she is SO heavy, it bothers my shoulder and neck, and i have had a headache everyday for like 3 weeks straight, it starts in my neck and works its way up, and my neck bothers me allot like needing to be popped etc, do you think carrying my daughter could be causing the headaches?
It’s possible. Since you can’t really get around carrying her though, I would suggest keeping some Motrin/Advil etc on you if you start to feel pain! Good luck!
I’ve been having severe pain in my neck and shoulders, leading to tension headaches, sometimes to the extend that I get nauseous and throw up. I try to relax my shoulders, but I just can’t.
Anyone have any remedies for this? I’m already receiving physio therapy once a week.
I’ve got scoliosis – could this be the cause?
If you get nauseous and throw up these are not tension headaches but most likely migraines. See your doc for a diagnosis and get this treated.
