Use ice for twenty minutes to relieve the swelling and then twenty minutes of moist heat to reduce the pain and loosen the muscles.

hi, maybe a sports phsio can help, if not have a word with your gp, i understand that you want an experience person, as i have similar problem and it is too painful if they dont no what they are doing. My partner does mine, my phsio showed him how to do it. I wish you all the luck and hope it gets sorted soon.
Two days ago I randomly felt a shooting pain the went from my neck to my forehead whenever I turned my head. To stop the stiffness I put some ice on it, and it made it easier for me to move. Then I started getting painful headaches it the same part of my head. Now I’m realizing that I have a small bump on the side of my neck that I think could be a cause of it all. Does anyone know what this is and how I can treat it? Anything would be great!
Try to massage at the back of your neck,up and downwards.
I have been suffering from neck pain for a year now, and after having visited several neurologists, I am dissatisfied with the care (or lack thereof) I received, as I still contend with neck pain every day. I have reason to believe my neck pain does not generate from a disk disorder. In addition to my neck pain, I also experience excessive cracking in my neck when I turn it from side to side. Based on this medical information, from whom should I seek medical care in treating my neck pain?
If you have already been to a couple of them I would just write them all off. I went through the same thing with those dr.’s. It was it won’t get better or here’s a pill. Then I found how to release the muscles in my neck and I don’t have any trouble anymore. That is usually all that is wrong with us for the majority of our pains, pinched muscles. There can’t be good money in giving us the right answers so we get all the wrong ones. Here is how I was finally able to be the neck pain. If you have any questions let me know:
For your neck:
place your hand alongside your head and push your thumb in under your ear and place it on the muscle there. Take your fingers and place them on the back of your neck on the muscles there. Press them together and hold a good amount of pressure on them. Then relax, take a deep breath an happening, the muscle going limp under the pressure. Continue to hold until the entire muscle has gone limp.
I am scheduled for a cervical epidural on Oct 2 and am a little scared. I have a chiari malformation in which I had surgery for in 2001. I have nerve damage from the chiari. A lot of pain in the neck and shoulders. I also have a syrinx (spelling?) at C5, not sure how big it is…
Has the cervical epidural injections helped anyone?
I’ve never had a cervial epidural. But I have had them on my lumbar area of my spine and they worked wonders for me. I had to have two of them. The link below has info on your syrinx. Good luck with the epidurals. I hope they help!
